P R O J E C T S St. Paul's United Methodist Church
The abandoned boiler room below the church narthex now houses niches for the ashes of the departed. Eight inch square niches ring the perimeter of the room and a low center island. The materials, slate floors, limestone and oak paneling are updated interpretations of the 1927 English Gothic church. The focus of the entry hall is the decorative wrought iron entry gate. The entry hall transitions from the stairway to the narthex, the new bride’s dressing rooms and restroom to the columbarium. Within the columbarium is the Dickey Chapel flanked by stained glass windows in the basement light wells.
